Waterproofing a Wet Crawl Space in Absecon, NJ
Challenge
In Absecon, NJ, a homeowner was facing a growing concern: a damp, musty crawl space that not only threatened the health of their home but also posed potential risks to their family’s well-being. Worries about mold, structural damage, and air quality prompted them to reach out for a long-term solution.
Upon receiving their call, one of our Customer Care Specialists swiftly scheduled an inspection. Our System Design Specialist, Ryan visited the home, conducted a full assessment, and identified the specific sources of moisture and inefficiency. With those details in hand, we proposed a tailored solution aimed at full crawl space protection and enhanced indoor comfort.
Solution
Our installation team began by placing the StarPipe drainage system, designed to collect groundwater and direct it efficiently to the TripleSafe Sump Pump. With its triple-pump system and battery backup, TripleSafe offered reliable, round-the-clock water removal even in extreme weather or power outages.
To further seal out moisture, we lined the crawl space with CleanSpace, a heavy-duty vapor barrier that blocks humidity and prevents mold-friendly conditions. Next, we added SilverGlo insulation to the walls, boosting energy efficiency and reducing heat loss while also providing a layer of moisture resistance.
Finally, we installed the SaniDry Sedona, a high-performance dehumidifier, to maintain low humidity and improve air quality throughout the home.
By the end of the project, the once musty crawl space was completely transformed: clean, dry, insulated, and ready to support a healthier, more efficient home!
