Waterproofing a Damp Basement in Bloomsbury, NJ
Challenge
A homeowner in Bloomsbury, NJ contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems with an ongoing concern: persistent dampness and water seepage in their basement. Over time, they noticed water collecting along the walls and even occasional pooling on the floor, which raised concerns about long-term moisture damage and mold.
Our System Design Specialist, Mike conducted a full inspection of the basement, identifying key problem areas and evaluating how water was entering the space. Based on his findings, we created a customized waterproofing plan that addressed the specific needs of the home while prioritizing long-term dryness and comfort.
Solution
To resolve the issue and provide peace of mind, we proposed a comprehensive waterproofing system, including:
-
WaterGuard Interior Drainage System to capture water at the wall-floor joint and direct it away discreetly beneath the floor.
-
TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which includes three levels of pump protection, including a battery-operated backup, for dependable year-round performance.
-
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, installed along the basement walls to prevent moisture intrusion and help improve the overall appearance of the space.
Our experienced production crew began by installing the WaterGuard system beneath the perimeter of the basement floor, carefully positioned to capture and redirect incoming water without disturbing the finished look of the interior. This system connects directly to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, offering unbeatable protection, even during power outages. To complete the project, we installed our CleanSpace liner, a durable and bright white vapor barrier that prevents water vapor from passing through the walls while contributing to a cleaner, brighter basement environment.
