At this property in Parkville, MD, the laundry room area of the basement collects a lot of water seepage from heavy rain and also in the winter after snow melts. After evaluating the water problem, we installed the below-grade WaterGuard drainage system and SuperSump sump pump. This system provides a permanent solution to help prevent basement flooding and also collects water from wall leaks that will be redirected into the below-grade drain.

Foundation Repair Solution In Parkville, MD Foundation Repair Solution In Parkville, MD

What looked like minor wall cracks and sagging ceilings quickly became a major concern for a homeowner in Parkville, MD, as signs of foundation settlement became increasingly obvious. The basement walls were beginning to bow inward, and ceiling stress indicated that the structural integrity of the home was at risk. Wanting to prevent further damage and protect their investment, the homeowner turned to Quality 1st Basement Systems for a permanent solution. After a full inspection, our team diagnosed the underlying issues and crafted a custom repair strategy to address both the foundation movement and ongoing water intrusion.

To stabilize the bowing walls, we installed our CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System, an innovative solution that uses ultra-strong carbon fiber straps bonded directly to the interior surface of the walls. This system stops further inward movement without the need for exterior excavation. Next, to address water seepage that was contributing to the foundation stress, we installed our WaterGuard Drainage System along the basement perimeter to intercept water before it reached the floor. We also added a TrenchDrain System at the basement entryway to capture surface water from external sources.

With these systems working together, the basement is now dry, secure, and structurally sound, giving the homeowner lasting peace of mind and renewed confidence in their home!

Mold Removal and Waterproofing in Towson, MD

We then installed many of our reliable products to ensure the basement stays dry and mold free, including our SuperSump sump pump which stops water from reentering the space as well as other outside elements such as debris. One of our customers wanted a dry basement in their home. Battery Back Up Sump Pump in Toms River, NJ

This Toms River, NJ homeowner was looking for a solution to keep his basement dry at all times. He knew the importance of a battery backup sump pump, so he did some research looking for companies that would install them.  He found Quality 1st Basement Systems, saw their great reviews, and decided to contact them to request an estimate.

Senior Waterproofing Specialist, Jeff, was out to the property and found that this homeowner had an old pump that was not working properly. The sump pit was full of water, and it was letting water vapor back into the basement, causing the homeowner's dehumidifier to constantly run. The discharge line inside the basement was disconnected, and the walls were wet. Jeff provided a permanent solution for this homeowner by recommending the Triple Safe Sump Pump System. Project Manager, Jonathan Neira, was out to install the sump pump and the new discharge line. The Triple Safe has an airtight lid with an alarm that will alert the homeowner in case of pump failure. It also includes a battery backup sump pump that will operate in case of a power outage. The new discharge line will direct the water away from the foundation and will stop water from spraying on the wall.

After the installation was completed, this homeowner was happy to have a properly working sump pump system and had complete peace of mind and assurance.

Transformed Basement in Towson, MD

This basement had old dark paneling from the 70's.  There was also a foundation water seepage problem and damp smell.

First, we dried the space.  We installed 102 feet of Waterguard to keep the basement dry.  We also installed a SuperSump with UltraSump battery backup.   Then we finished the basement with TBF Everlast wall.  After installing a drop ceiling, we installed Thermal Tile subflooring that is designed to insulate the floor and protect the carpet.  The floor surface Temperature will now be up to 7 degrees warmer.  It also prevents carpet dry rot which comes from vapor transmission through the concrete floor. This job is ready for carpet.

Basement Waterproofing & Finishing in Perry Hall, MD

This Basement needed an upgraded SuperSump system with a battery backup. New Foundation installed under Essex, MD home

This home had serious problems. The house was built on only pillars and had no foundation walls in the crawlspace. The result was that mud and water kept coming in through the sides, causing a very damp environment under the home. The moisture caused mold, wood rot, and a bad smell upstairs. It also created a serious problem for the heating and air conditioning system because the ducts were running in the crawl space. The ducts were cooled by the moisture in the winter and vice versa in the summer, causing the electrical bill to skyrocket. What to do? We dug out the perimeter and poured footings. Then filled the spaces between the pillars with a cinder block foundation wall. Now that the mud and water is being held back from entering into the crawl space, we could focus on changing the environment down there. We installed a Super Sump and a Clean space vapor barrier that kept the moisture from evaporating from the earth into the crawl space. Then we installed a SaniDry dehumidifier that kept the overall humidity low. Now the space is clean and dry, and the ducts are operating much better.

Monolithic Floor in Church Bathroom Waterproofed in Randallstown, MD

The basement in this church had monolithic foundations. Monolithic foundations are different from standard foundations because the floor is poured as part of the footer and the foundation walls are placed on top of the floor. This means that we cannot cut the floor to install the traditional sub-floor drainage system to waterproof the basement.

After we removed the walls, toilet, and sink, we installed the DryTrak cove channel system that drains water away without cutting the floor. The bathroom is waterproofed and ready to be put back together.

Finished Basement Destroyed by Water in Towson, MD Gets a Makeover

This basement used to be finished, but constant water seepage destroyed it and made it unusable and dangerous due to mold. These kinds of conditions are potentially hazardous to your health, and the loss of equity is often two or three times more than the cost of repair.

The first thing we did was gut the whole basement out by removing all organic material. This included all drywall, flooring, doors, and wooden shelving. Then we installed the WaterGuard basement waterproofing system around the perimeter. This system removes water from the walls and from under the floor and redirects it into a sump pump. Then we installed a vapor barrier against the walls so that the homeowner could reinstall the walls without worrying about moisture from the foundation walls.

The result is that the basement is bone dry, ready to be refinished. The home’s value has been restored and the basement is safe again.

The homeowner contacted  Quality 1st Basement Systems and scheduled an appointment for a specialist to come out and provide a free estimate. Once the void has been filled, the polyurethane foam expanded and lifted the concrete to the desired height.

Basement Waterproofing in Monkton, MD

This homeowner recently encountered a challenging issue in Monkton, MD. To address this issue head on, we recommended installing our TripleSafe Sump Pump system and WaterGuard drainage system. The TripleSafe Sump Pump is renowned for its reliability in keeping basements dry for the long haul, offering triple the protection against water. The WaterGuard system was chosen for its efficiency in capturing wall and floor joint water leaks, redirecting it to the TripleSafe Pump, away from the basement. The homeowner had been dealing with the issue for some time, and the constant moisture was starting to raise serious concerns about the potential for mold growth and structural rot. The ongoing seepage not only posed a health risk to the family but also threatened the integrity of their home. Realizing the severity of the situation, the homeowner decided to seek a professional solution to prevent further damage and protect their property from the dangerous effects of water infiltration.

Upon correspondence with the homeowner, our team of specialists promptly scheduled a visit to inspect the basement. We thoroughly examined the space, paying close attention to the areas most affected by water seepage. After a careful assessment, we identified the exact points where water was entering the basement and causing the issues. It was clear that a comprehensive waterproofing solution was required to address both the current damage and prevent future problems. Based on our findings, we created a customized waterproofing plan designed specifically for the homeowner's needs and the unique challenges posed by their basement.

The tailored solution we proposed included the installation of three high-performance systems to effectively address the water seepage. First, we installed our patented WaterGuard Drainage System, a revolutionary solution that creates a reliable, long-term barrier against water intrusion. This system is designed to capture water as it enters the basement and direct it to the sump pump for removal, preventing any water from reaching the floor or walls. Next, we added the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, which is engineered to quickly and efficiently pump any collected water out of the basement, ensuring that the space remains dry no matter how much water accumulates.

To further safeguard the basement, we installed CleanSpace Wall Panels, which offer an added layer of protection against moisture. These durable, moisture-resistant panels cover the basement walls and prevent water vapor from penetrating through. Not only do they act as a barrier, but they also help to maintain a clean and dry environment by preventing mold and mildew growth. With these three systems in place, the basement was fully equipped to handle water intrusion and ensure a dry, healthy, and protected space for the homeowner.

After the installation was completed, the homeowner could immediately see and feel the difference. Eliminating Water Seepage In Parkville, MD

In Parkville, MD, a homeowner was facing an ongoing battle with water seepage in their basement, leading to a progressively worsening situation. Over time, the constant moisture infiltration created a damp and musty environment that made the basement feel uninhabitable. The homeowner noticed that the conditions were not only unpleasant but also posed potential risks to the home's structural integrity. The dampness led to the growth of mold and mildew, making the basement a space they avoided altogether. The homeowner was at their wits’ end, unsure of how to resolve the issue for good.

After researching potential solutions, the homeowner reached out to Quality 1st for help, hoping for a long-term resolution to their water problems. With this in mind, we developed a tailored waterproofing solution that would address both the immediate and long-term needs of the space.

The first step was to install our patented WaterGuard Drainage System, a highly effective interior drainage system designed to capture and direct water away from the foundation. This system works by channeling water into a sump pump, where it can be properly discharged outside. Next, to ensure that the basement would remain dry during power outages or heavy storms, we installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe system features three pumps, including a battery backup and an alarm, ensuring the basement remains protected even in the worst conditions. These two components combined created an unbeatable defense against water intrusion.

To complete the transformation, we installed CleanSpace Wall Panels, which not only improved the basement’s appearance but also acted as an effective moisture barrier. These durable, moisture-resistant panels prevent water vapor from penetrating the walls, keeping the basement dry and comfortable. The result was a completely transformed basement: no longer damp or dreary, but a dry, healthy, and inviting space. Addressing Crawl Space Concerns In Lutherville Timonium, MD

A homeowner in Lutherville Timonium, MD had grown increasingly concerned about persistent water seepage in their crawl space. Over time, the space had become damp, humid, and unwelcoming—raising fears about mold growth, wood rot, and poor air quality affecting the rest of the home. Recognizing the potential impact on their home’s health and value, the homeowner decided it was time for a long-term solution. That’s when they reached out to Quality 1st for expert assistance.

Upon arrival, our team conducted a thorough inspection of the crawl space to pinpoint the sources of moisture and assess the overall condition. It was clear that the space lacked proper insulation and a moisture barrier, which allowed groundwater and humidity to take hold. Using this information, our experts designed a customized waterproofing and insulation strategy specifically tailored to the home’s needs—focusing on sealing out moisture and stabilizing temperatures to protect the crawl space long-term.

We began the installation process by lining the crawl space walls with our SilverGlo Insulation Panels. These graphite-infused panels offer a high R-value for thermal efficiency and feature a radiant barrier to reflect heat back into the home, helping reduce energy costs. Unlike traditional insulation, SilverGlo doesn’t absorb moisture, making it ideal for damp environments. Next, we installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System across the crawl space floor and walls. This heavy-duty, mold-resistant liner prevents ground moisture from entering the space, significantly improving air quality and eliminating musty odors.

With both systems in place, the crawl space was completely transformed from a damp, uncomfortable area to a dry, energy-efficient, and healthy part of the home. The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing their crawl space is protected against water intrusion, mold growth, and temperature fluctuations. This comprehensive solution not only improved the comfort of the home but also enhanced its long-term durability and value.

Tackling Crawl Space Water Intrusion In Boring, MD

What began as a damp, musty smell wafting up from the floors turned into a nightmare for a homeowner in Boring, MD, when they discovered ongoing water intrusion wreaking havoc in their crawl space. With growing fears of mold growth, wood rot, and long-term structural damage, they turned to Quality 1st for a reliable, permanent solution. After a thorough inspection by our crawl space experts, it became clear that the issue extended beyond surface-level moisture, it was a full-scale problem requiring a comprehensive and customized waterproofing strategy.

To tackle the water intrusion at its source, our team began by installing our patented Drainage Matting System, which allows water to flow freely beneath the crawl space liner and directs it toward our SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump. Specially designed for confined spaces, this sump pump ensures quick and effective water removal, preventing future flooding. To further protect the system in cold weather, an IceGuard Discharge Line was added, allowing water to escape even if the pipes freeze, eliminating the risk of backups during freezing temperatures.

With water management in place, the focus shifted to insulation and moisture control. We installed SilverGlo Insulation Panels along the crawl space walls to create an energy-efficient thermal barrier that resists moisture and reflects heat back into the home. Next, we encapsulated the entire space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System, a thick, durable liner that locks out moisture, dirt, and outside air. To seal the space completely, we added Vent Covers to block humid outdoor air, helping maintain a controlled environment year-round.

Resolving Moisture Concerns In Baldwin, MD

After struggling with ongoing water intrusion in their basement due to an old sump pump that could no longer handle the high capacity of moisture entering the space, a homeowner in Baldwin, MD became increasingly worried about potential mold growth and structural decay. Tired of temporary fixes and growing concerns about long-term damage, they turned to Quality 1st Basement Systems for a permanent, professional solution. Unlike traditional drain tile systems, WaterGuard is engineered to sit above the footing of the foundation, capturing water at its entry point and channeling it discreetly to the sump pump, without the risk of clogging from soil or debris.

To manage the redirected water, we replaced the outdated pump with our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System. This powerful, reliable unit includes a cast-iron pump, an airtight lid, and a built-in alarm system to alert the homeowner of rising water levels. It’s designed to perform under pressure, especially during heavy rainfall or rapid snowmelt, keeping the basement consistently dry and protected from moisture buildup.

Finally, to provide added protection during the colder months, we installed our IceGuard Discharge Line, a uniquely designed component that allows water to escape even if the exterior drainage pipe becomes frozen or blocked.
