Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Drainage System in Baltimore, MD
This homeowner in Baltimore, MD was getting water in their basement whenever it rained. They called Quality 1st Basements to give them a free quote. System Design Specialist, Jeff Yentzer, suggested WaterGuard to run along the perimeter of the basement to drain the water from the walls and direct it to the sump pump. A SuperSump was installed to take care of pumping out the water with its powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour. CleanSpace was applied to part of the walls to create a barrier between the moist walls and the basement air. Finally, TrenchDrain was installed near the entryway to stop water in its tracks. The homeowner can now relax, with their waterproofed basement.
WaterGuard Install
WaterGuard was installed below the floor slab but out of the "mud zone" so it won't clog. Weep holes are drilled in the walls and the WaterGuard helps drain the trapped water to the sump pump.
SuperSump
A SuperSump was recommended to the homeowner because it is designed to take on cases of heavy water intrusion and pump the water out of the basement so it stays nice and dry.
CleanSpace Liner
The CleanSpace liner was applied to create a barrier from the moist basement wall so it would not create a damp environment in the basement and encourage mold, mildew or rot.
TrenchDrain
TrenchDrain was applied near the door of the basement to catch water in its tracks at the entry point.
