Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing in Belford, NJ
This homeowner in Belford, New Jersey noticed their basement was attracting water and musty smells. The cause of this from poorly compacted backfill soil that was used to fill the hole around the foundation. This saturated soil puts hydrostatic pressure on the basement walls and pushes the water through the wall, causing leaking and water seepage in the basement. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Joe Mancini, provided an inspection and suggested they waterproof the basement. Our foreman, Mario Barron, began by installing the TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The sump pump will drain out the water and even has a battery-operated backup pump that kicks in if there is a power outage. Mario also installed the WaterGuard Drain System throughout the basement which sits under the concrete slab and on top of the foundation footing. This system will catch any water and drain it to the sump pump. Mario also installed the Vapor Barrier System and the SaniDry Dehumidifier. Both of these systems will block out water vapor and humidity from getting into the basement.
