Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproof Installation in New City, NY
A homeowner in New City, New York noticed their floors had standing water. This is due to the soil around the foundation becoming saturated during heavy rainfall. This saturated soil begins to create hydrostatic pressure, causing water to seep through the walls and floors. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Steve Roldan, provided an inspection and suggested they waterproof the basement. Our foreman, Mario Barron, installed the WaterGuard Drain System which will collect water and drain it to the sump pump. Then, Mario installed the SuperSump Classic which is a sump pump that effectively pumps water out, even during heavy rainfall. Mario also installed the TrenchLock around the water heater which will protect the water heater from water damage. Lastly, the foreman installed the IceGuard Discharge Line which will drain water away through the openings.
WaterGuard Installation Process
The WaterGuard installation process can be installed with a full day and requires minimal disturbance to the home.
WaterGuard Installed
WaterGuard is installed on top of the foundation footing to be kept out of the mud zone. This will also prevent it from getting clogged.
TrenchDrain Around Water Heater
The TrenchDrain protects the water heater so it does not get damaged by water. Trench Drain is placed around the water heater and will catch water and drain it to the sump pump.
SuperSump Classic Installed
The SuperSump Classic has an airtight enclosed lid that will prevent water vapor from rising into the basement air.
IceGuard Installed
IceGuard has specially engineered openings that allow water to escape, even if the pipes become blocked by snow or ice.
