Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproof Installation in Morris Plains, NJ
A wet basement is never the problem a homeowner should experience. This homeowner in Morris Plains, New Jersey was looking to waterproof their basement to prevent water intrusion. This can happen because the saturated soil around the foundation creates hydrostatic pressure, pushing water to seep in.The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Matt Abrahamsen, provided an inspection and suggested they waterproof the basement. Out foreman installed the WaterGuard Drain System which sits on top of the foundation footing and collects water to drain it to the sump pump. Then, the foreman installed the IceGuard Discharge Line which will allow water to pass through and escape, even if the pipes are blocked from snow or ice.

WaterGuard Installation Process
WaterGuard is installed on top of the foundation footing to be kept out of the mud zone, where drains tend to clog. This will ensure that the drain system properly does the job of draining water.
WaterGuard Installed
Once installed, WaterGuard will collect any water that seeps in from the walls and floors, and drain it to the sump pump.
IceGuard Installed
The IceGuard has specially engineered openings that allow for water to escape properly, without the concern of getting blocked by snow or ice.
