Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wet Basement Solution in Marlboro, NJ
A homeowner in Marlboro, New Jersey was experiencing water seeping in through their basement and creating puddles during heavy rainfall. This happens because the soil around the foundation is poorly compacted. This soil gets saturated during heavy rainfall, creating hydrostatic pressure which pushes water through the walls and floors. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Will Harris, was able to provide an inspection. Our foreman, Wilver Cardoza, installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump System which will effectively pump water out of the basement. This system has a backup battery-operated pump that kicks in if the power goes out. Next, the foreman installed the SaniDry Dehumidifier which will circulate the air. Then, the foreman installed the WaterGuard Drain System which lays on top of the foundation footing to be kept out of the mud zone. Lastly, the foreman installed the IceGuard Discharge Line which will allow water to pass through and escape even if the pipes become blocked.
WaterGuard Installation Process
The WaterGuard System is installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps the system out of the mud zone where drains can clog.
WaterGuard Installed
The WaterGuard system collects water that seeps through basement walls and drains it to the sump pump. The system installs quickly and has a clean-finished appearance.
TripleSafe Sump Pump and SaniDry
TripleSafe has three pumps all protected inside a sump pump liner to prevent clogging. This system also has an airtight enclosed lid to prevent water vapor from entering the basement air.
IceGuard Installed
IceGuard fits over the top of the discharge line to provide a secondary escape route. IceGuard allows water to escape through openings in the drain pipe.
