A homeowner in Bound Brook, New Jersey was experiencing water seeping in through their basement. This can occur because of the poorly compacted soil around the foundation. Over time, this soil becomes saturated during heavy rainfall and creates hydrostatic pressure, pushing the water to seep through the walls and floors. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, JC Gibriano, provided an inspection. Our foreman installed the SmartSump Pump System which will effectively pump water out of the basement. Next, he installed the WaterGuard Drain System which is placed on top of the foundation footing to be kept out of the mud zone, so it will not clog. Lastly, the foreman installed the IceGuard Discharge Line which has openings that allow for water to escape, even if the pipes are blocked from snow or ice.
