Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wet Basement Solution in Edison, NJ
A homeowner in Edison, New Jersey noticed water coming into their basement through the walls and the floor. This can happen because the poorly compacted soil around the foundation becomes saturated during heavy rainfall. This saturated soil creates hydrostatic pressure which pushes water through the walls and the floor. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Steve Roldan, was able to provide an inspection and he suggested they install a French drain system, along with a sump pump system. Our foreman, Juan Garcia, installed the WaterGuard Drain System along the perimeter of the basement floor. This drain system sits on top of the foundation footing to be kept out of the mud zone. Next, the foreman installed the SuperSump Classic Pump System which is engineered to keep the basement dry and healthy, even in times of heavy water intrusion. Now, the homeowner has a basement that will be protected from water damage.
