Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproof Installation in NY

A homeowner in Rockland County, New York was looking to waterproof their basement. There are many reasons why water gets into the basement, one of the main reasons being because of the soil around the home's foundation. There is loose soil around a home's foundation, and when this loose soil gets saturated from heavy rainfall, this soil puts hydrostatic pressure that can push moisture and water through the basement walls and floors.  The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems after seeing our ad in The Home Magazine, and our System Design Specialist, Javier Hoyos Romero, was able to provide an inspection of the home. He suggested they install a sump pump system and a French drain system. Our foreman, Wilver Cardoza, installed the SuperSump Pump System which is built to keep the basement dry and healthy for long periods of time, even during periods of heavy rainfall. This system has a backup battery that will kick in if the power goes out. Next, the foreman installed the WaterGuard Drain System, which is placed along the perimeter of the basement floor. It is installed under the concrete slab, and on top of the foundation footing, to ensure that it stays out of the "mud zone" and never clogs. This will catch any water and drain it right to the sump pump. Lastly, the foreman installed the IceGuard System, which will allow water to escape, even if the pipe freezes over. Now, the homeowner's basement can be protected against water damage.
