Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing Installation Process in Red Bank, NJ

A homeowner in Red Bank, New Jersey was experiencing moisture in their basement coming in through the floor. This happens because loose soil is used to fill the hole around the home's foundation. Over time, the loose soil settles and becomes saturated during heavy rainfall. The soil puts intense weight on the foundation walls and floors, causing hydrostatic pressure. In periods of drought, the soil shrinks away from the foundation which leaves voids for the next rain to easily flow down into the basement.  The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Mike Fiorillo, was able to find a solution to this issue. He suggested they install a French drain system, a sump pump and also a trench drain to be placed on the bottom of the stairs. Our foreman, Esau Aquino, installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump System which has three sump pumps in one sump liner. This system also has a battery operated pump that kicks in if the power goes out. TripleSafe also has an enclosed lid to keep moisture out of the basement. Next, the foreman installed the WaterGuard Drainage System which is placed underneath the slab and on top of the foundation footing. WaterGuard effectively catches water and drains it to the sump pump. Lastly, the foreman installed the TrenchDrain at the bottom of the stairs to the basement, which will prevent water from getting into the basement. TrenchDrain will catch any dirt, debris and water.
