Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing Basement in Brick, NJ
A resident in Brick, New Jersey was experiencing water in their basement during periods of heavy rainfall. The cause of a wet basement is because the dirt around the foundation settles. This is because of backfilled soil is used to fill the hole around the foundation. This soil can become saturated during periods of heavy rainfall, and will put hydrostatic pressure on the basement walls, causing the basement to leak.
Looking to fix this issue, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Steve Ventriglio, provided an inspection. He suggested they replace their old sump pump, and also install a window enclosure, as well as a dehumidifier. Our foreman, Jonathan Neira, installed the SuperSump Pump System which will pump water out and away from the basement. This system also has a backup battery that will kick in, in the event of heavy rainfall. Then, he installed the SaniDry XP Dehumidifier which will circulate dry air in the basement. Lastly, the foreman installed a new Window Well Duct which will keep water out and will never rot or rust. With these systems in place, the basement will keep water out.
