A Neptune, New Jersey homeowner had water seeping in through their basement walls during heavy rains and contacted Quality 1st for a solution. Our System Design Specialist inspected the basement and recommended that a waterproofing system be installed. First, WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement, underneath the floor slabs, on top of the foundation footing to keep the system out of the mud zone to prevent clogging. WaterGuard collects the water that seeps through the basement walls and directs it to the sump pump. The TripleSafe has three levels of pumps built in to ensure the basement stays dry. In case of one pump failure the next lower level pumps will kick in and continue to pump the water out of the basement. Iceguard was installed outside the home on the sump pump discharge line. The IceGuard fits over the top of the discharge lines to provide water a secondary escape route. IceGuard allows water to escape through slotted openings in the drain pipe which ensures that any water the sump pump is removing from the basement is safely cleared away outside the home, preventing any backed up or frozen lines. This basement is free from water, dry and healthy.
