Waterproofing Solution For a Basement in Branchburg, NJ
Challenge
The homeowner was experiencing repeated water intrusion in their unfinished basement, with water entering directly through the floor, particularly during heavy rain events. The moisture made the basement difficult to maintain and raised concerns about ongoing dampness, air quality, and future water damage. The homeowner initially expressed interest in installing a sump pump but wanted confidence that the entire problem was being addressed rather than simply collecting water after it entered. After evaluating the basement, it became clear that a complete waterproofing system would provide the most reliable long-term solution. Because water was entering at the floor level and moisture conditions affected the overall basement environment, multiple components were recommended to work together.
Solution
WaterGuard interior drainage was installed along the perimeter of the basement to capture groundwater before it reached the living space. This drainage system channels collected water directly to the sump location. A TripleSafe sump pump system was installed to provide dependable pumping capacity and layered protection during changing weather conditions. To improve both appearance and performance, CleanSpace was installed along the basement walls. The wall system helps create a brighter, cleaner-looking unfinished space while directing moisture downward into the drainage system. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was added to actively control humidity and help maintain a dry, healthier environment. The completed waterproofing system transformed the basement from a damp unfinished area into a cleaner and more controlled space. The homeowner now has a coordinated solution designed to manage groundwater, reduce humidity, and support long-term basement protection—even during periods of heavy rainfall.
