Waterproofing a Wet Basement in Moorestown, NJ
Challenge
Homeowners in Moorestown, NJ were experiencing water intrusion in their basement due to hydrostatic pressure against the cinderblock foundation walls. During heavy rains, water would seep in through the walls and floor, threatening the basement’s integrity and creating potential damage to the home. Additionally, the cinderblock walls showed signs of bowing, raising concerns about structural stability. The homeowners needed a solution that would address both the water issues and the structural reinforcement in a durable, long-term manner.
Solution
Our team implemented a comprehensive waterproofing and foundation reinforcement system. First, a full perimeter of WaterGuard was installed to capture water entering the basement and direct it toward a newly installed SuperSump system for effective removal. To stabilize the bowing walls, CarbonArmor straps were applied, providing reinforced support to the cinderblock foundation. Finally, Foamax wall liners were installed over the reinforced walls to manage moisture and help maintain a dry, healthy basement environment. This multi-pronged approach addressed the water issues, improved structural integrity, and ensured a long-lasting solution for the homeowners.
