Basement Waterproofing and Finishing in Lancaster, PA

Challenge

A homeowner in Lancaster, PA was struggling with persistent moisture issues in their basement, prompting concerns about long-term damage and overall comfort. Seeking a lasting solution, they contacted Quality 1st Basements for a free evaluation. After assessing the space, one of the company’s System Design Specialists recommended a comprehensive waterproofing plan that included the installation of a SunHouse Window Well, WaterGuard, CleanSpace walling, EverLast Wall Panels, and ThermalDry Flooring.

Solution

The project began with the installation of the SunHouse Window Well, which created a protective barrier around the basement window to block moisture and prevent future leaks. To address water intrusion beneath the floor, the team installed the WaterGuard drainage system along the basement perimeter. This system captures groundwater and directs it away from the foundation, helping to keep the area consistently dry. CleanSpace walling was added to create a moisture-resistant barrier on the walls, stopping humidity, dampness, and odors from entering the living space. To complete the transformation, EverLast Wall Panels and ThermalDry Flooring were installed. These finishing products not only refreshed the appearance of the basement, but also provided durable, mold-resistant surfaces designed to withstand moisture over time.

With the installation complete, the homeowner now enjoys a dry, clean, and revitalized basement, free from the moisture problems that once caused concern.

Sunhouse was installed on the window to seal off moisture keeping any water from leaking into the basement.

WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement to direct any seepage to the sump pump for removal.

Everlast Wall Panels and ThermalDry flooring were installed to finish the space. Water won't damage it and the material does not support mold or mildew.
