Comprehensive Basement Waterproofing in Colonia, NJ
Challenge
A homeowner in Colonia, NJ was dealing with ongoing water seepage through their basement walls, which was pooling on the floor and creating a damp, unhealthy environment. The excess moisture led to mold growth, putting the family’s health at risk and threatening the integrity of the home. Concerned about the worsening conditions, the homeowner reached out to Quality 1st Basements for a free inspection and professional guidance.
Solution
The project began with the installation of CleanSpace along the basement walls to create a clean, waterproof barrier that prevents moisture and odors from entering the space. WaterGuard was placed around the interior perimeter to collect any water seeping through the walls and direct it to the sump pump. A TripleSafe sump pump system was installed to give the homeowner the highest level of protection, offering three pumps to ensure the basement remains dry even during power outages or heavy rainfall.
To address humidity, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to maintain dry, healthy air and prevent future mold growth. IceGuard was added to the discharge line outside the home to prevent freezing during the winter months, ensuring that water flows freely away from the property. The installation was completed with the LawnScape outlet, which directs the discharged water safely onto the lawn, away from the foundation.
With the full waterproofing system in place, the homeowner now has a clean, dry, and protected basement. They can finally relax knowing their home is safeguarded from water intrusion, mold growth, and future moisture-related issues.
