Addressing Moisture Intrusion In West Orange, NJ Basement
Challenge
A homeowner in West Orange, NJ had grown increasingly frustrated with ongoing water seepage in their basement. The moisture was creating damp, musty conditions that not only made the space uncomfortable but also raised concerns about mold and long-term damage. Determined to find a reliable and lasting solution, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st for professional help.
Solution
After performing a thorough inspection of the basement, our team identified several areas where groundwater was entering the home. We developed a customized waterproofing plan designed to address the issue from multiple angles. Central to the solution was our patented WaterGuard Drainage System, which captures water at the foundation’s perimeter and channels it directly to a sump pump. To stop water from pooling near basement entry points, we also installed a TrenchDrain System for additional surface drainage. To ensure complete protection, we included our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which offers three levels of pumping power and backup in case of power failure. Finally, we connected the system to our IceGuard Discharge Line, a critical feature that allows water to escape even if the line freezes in cold weather. With this dynamic system in place, the homeowner now has peace of mind knowing their basement will remain dry, healthy, and protected, no matter the season!
