Basement Waterproofing Solution in Cedarville, NJ
Challenge
A homeowner in Cedarville, NJ, faced recurring water issues in their partially finished basement every time it rained. The problem was especially noticeable along one side of the basement, where water consistently found its way inside, leaving puddles and damp spots. The uncertainty of where the water was entering only added to the homeowner’s frustration.
On top of the water intrusion, there was a structural concern: one basement wall had started to bow inward. This not only put pressure on the foundation but also created worry that the problem would worsen over time. With water damage and foundation movement happening simultaneously, the homeowner needed a solution that would address both the wet basement and the wall stability.
Solution
Our team provided a comprehensive repair plan to tackle the basement’s water issues and foundation concerns. We installed the WaterGuard interior drainage system, which sits at the base of the basement walls to capture water as it enters and channel it toward the sump system. To ensure reliable protection against flooding, we added a TripleSafe sump pump, equipped with three levels of pumping power, including a battery backup for peace of mind during storms and power outages.
For the bowing wall, we installed CarbonArmor straps. These strong, flexible straps are made of carbon fiber and are specifically designed to stabilize foundation walls and prevent further inward movement. To finish the project, the basement walls were lined with the CleanSpace vapor barrier, which seals out moisture, helps prevent mold growth, and brightens the entire basement.
The homeowner can now feel confident that future storms won’t cause damage, and the foundation is secured for the long term.
