Basement Waterproofing Solution in Edison, NJ

Challenge

An Edison homeowner had a partially finished basement that became vulnerable every time heavy rains hit. The block walls allowed moisture and seepage to enter, and during storms, the basement would take on water at the floor edges. This recurring issue threatened the finished flooring, created musty odors, and left the homeowner constantly worried about damage after every storm. The challenge was to design a solution that worked for both the unfinished and finished sections of the basement, keeping it dry while also protecting the existing living space.

Solution

Our crew began by installing the WaterGuard interior drainage system along the perimeter of the basement, tucked neatly beneath the floor for a clean look. Any water that enters through the walls or floor joints is captured by the system and directed into the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which provides three layers of protection for maximum reliability. To control wall moisture, we lined the basement walls with CleanSpace, a bright, waterproof vapor barrier that seals the walls and channels any seepage into the drainage system.

With the new setup, the basement is now fully protected against water intrusion! No more damp carpets, musty odors, or post-storm anxiety.
