Garage Moisture Intrusion In West Orange, NJ

A homeowner in West Orange, NJ had been struggling with persistent water intrusion in their garage, which had gradually transformed the area into a damp, musty, and unfit space for storage or everyday use. Water pooling near the walls and entry points raised concerns about structural damage and potential mold growth. Our team conducted a full inspection of the garage and determined that both groundwater seepage and surface water runoff were contributing to the problem.

Solution

To address these issues, we installed our patented WaterGuard Drainage System along the interior perimeter of the garage. This system is specifically designed to sit just above the footing of the foundation, where it intercepts wall and floor seepage before it can reach the living space. To prevent surface water from entering through the garage door, we added a TrenchDrain System at key entry points. This grated drain captures and redirects runoff from rain or melting snow, integrating seamlessly with the rest of the drainage solution to maintain a dry interior. At the heart of the system, we installed our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump to efficiently remove all collected water from the garage. This high-performance pump, placed in a newly excavated sump pit, is built to handle large volumes of water and includes a durable liner and airtight lid to prevent odors and moisture escape. With this full waterproofing system in place, the homeowner now has a clean, dry, and protected garage.
