A homeowner in Philadelphia, PA, reached out to Quality 1st with two major concerns: persistent water intrusion in the back corner of their basement and sagging floors on the level above. Water was visibly seeping through both the wall and floor, threatening the integrity of the foundation and creating discomfort throughout the home. With moisture worsening and structural concerns mounting, the homeowner sought a long-term, professional solution.

Solution

After contacting our Customer Care team, the homeowner was promptly scheduled for a full home inspection. Our System Design Specialist, Ryan performed a detailed evaluation of the basement and crawlspace, confirming the need for both waterproofing and structural reinforcement.

To resolve the issues, Ryan recommended a three-part solution:

WaterGuard Interior Drainage System was installed around the perimeter of the basement floor to capture water at its point of entry and direct it to the sump pump. Hidden beneath a fresh concrete layer, WaterGuard provided invisible yet powerful protection.
TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed to ensure reliable water removal. Equipped with three pumps, including a battery-powered backup, the TripleSafe guarantees peace of mind during heavy rains and power outages.
SmartJack Support System was used to address the sagging floors. Our team installed galvanized steel SmartJacks on engineered fill in the crawl space, providing immediate lift and long-term support to the floor joists above.
