 I want to thank first Bob Cherry, the general manager, and Phil Matthews, the system planner, for working out a solution to our unique issue. This speaks to the integrity of the Tom Romans company. Secondly, the work crew did an amazing job. The foreman, Juan, sized up the situation quickly and had the men working quickly and efficiently. Within two hours, the crawlspace was cleaned out, all debris removed, the Super Sump installed and new discharge line installed. A note about that — the crew had to take up part of a paved walkway and dig up a mulch bed. When they were finished, that area actually looked neater than when they started! You could not tell any digging had been done at all. That night, we had a storm, a lot of rain in a very short period. The pump and discharge line worked perfectly. We will of course call Tom Romans when the budget allows for the full crawlspace system to be done.

The installation team was good, they got done quickly. I chose Quality 1st Basement Systems after seeing their trucks on the highway and because of their pricing and presentation. I am very satisfied with the job done!

Unfortunately, my home didn’t come with a dry crawlspace. When I decided to look into sealing my crawlspace in November, I contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems.  A week later, John Schweitzer was in my kitchen giving a presentation that was thorough, polished and much more than I expected. He went through the entire crawlspace and returned with pictures, pointing out areas of concern and explaining how the sealing process would protect the entire space going forward. John patiently answered all of my questions and wrote up a detailed price quote; no rush – no pressure. It didn’t take long for me to decide! I had the crawlspace sealed a month later and am so glad I did. Quality 1st did a great job and I have peace of mind knowing that I did the best thing I could for my house.  Everyone who has seen the finished product is so impressed! By the way, John’s involvement doesn’t end with the sale. He continues to return calls promptly and has been there to answer any questions, even though it’s been nearly 3 months since the installation. Overall great experience!

I am very satisfied with the work done by Quality 1st. I am a returning customer due to storm damage by Hurricane Sandy. I have had my crawlspace waterproofed and encapsulated and can not be more pleased. The installation crew led by Juan Garcia were excellent. I am very pleased by the work Quality 1st did in my basement. Their representative Nick Bris came to my home and spent over 2 hours explaining what had to be done to fix the water problem. Juan the office manager told me the workers would be at my home by 9:30am and they came at 8:30am! They were clean and efficient. I had barely any dust in my basement considering they had to jackhammer 2/3 of my basement to install the channel work. They were done by 2pm and cleaned up immaculately. I cannot say enough to thank Nick and to thank Quality First for a first-rate job. I would recommend them to anyone without any reservation.

My inspector arrived right on schedule and fully evaluated my crawlspace. Once we went to contract, a service date was set at my convenience. The installation crew arrived right on time. They evaluated my foundation and crawl space. They cleaned out the crawl space, installed jacks to support the main beam, installed a vapor barrier, drainage, and insulation. They were extremely professional and did a great job of each of the services I purchased. They made a follow up call after the service to ensure that all had gone well. Although I thought they were a bit expensive, the extra cost was worth it in quality, professionalism and reliability. I would highly recommend Quality 1st.

Our basement carried a lot of moisture and the paneling and wood we had installed was warping and was getting moldy. We contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and Laura helped me, and was very thorough and explained everything. They installed these beautiful walls that have a moisture barrier behind them and they did a fantastic job. I highly recommend it.

I had Quality Basement out at my home for repairs in our crawlspace. Juan Garcia and his crew were excellent! Their work was fantastic, Juan is very knowledgeable, he explained everything to me. we had our crawlspace done about 6 years ago by Quality. unfortunately we were hit by Storm SANDY! Quality came out, changed all effected plastic and sump pump. fixed my trench drains, and Juan noticed something that my general contractor did not see. My House needs 6 Smart Jacks installed which Juan will come out to do this week. Great team of young men. respectful and well mannered. They worked non stop from 8 AM to 6 PM until job was finished .they did not take a lunch break. unbelievable workers, hard to find these days. I have gone through many contractors .These guys were excellent! I would call Juan and his crew out to my home for any other issues I may have in the future.
