Basement Waterproofing - Old Sump Pump Problem
This old sump pump couldn't handle the water in the basement and posed a potential hazard. Since it was not covered, animals and children can easily become trapped and suffer injuries if not worse. With the sump pit being open, vapor was also able to escape, creating a damp environment for mold to grow in.
