Job Stories From Sussex County, NJ
Quality Basement Service for Years!

Moisture was coming in through the walls in Hugh S.’s home anytime there was a heavy rain.  He contacted his local basement waterproofing experts for a free estimate to learn how to stop the moisture from creating musty odors and wet walls. Washington Piera and his team installed a TripleSafe sump pump system and the WaterGuard interior basement waterproofing system to take care of any basement water or moisture.  The TripleSafe sump pump offers the ultimate protection from water in your basement.  This product has three pumps that respond to the amount of water coming into your home, and pumps it directly out.

After this work was completed, there still seemed to be a moisture issue, so Hugh S. contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems again to have a SaniDry dehumidifier installed in his basement.  The SaniDry basement dehumidifier is an energy-efficient model that was specifically created for large basement spaces.  This unit is the top one in the industry!

The basement moisture was permanently removed from the basement and Hugh S. no longer has to worry about basement water in his Franklin Lakes, NJ home.  We are always available to service our basement waterproofing products, and continue to provide permanent solutions when water keeps making its way into your basement.  Now Hugh’s basement is a dry, healthy space all year round.

Free Estimates in Franklin Lakes, NJ

John B. was looking for a free estimate because he has water leaking into his basement.  He wanted a permanent solution that would keep the basement dry all the time.  Kenneth Peare met with John and determined that the installation of a SuperSump sump pump, UltraSump batter backup, and the WaterGuard would do the trick!

The next week, Quality 1st Basement Systems sent out Wilver Cardoza and his team of waterproofing professionals to install these products.  The WaterGuard product is an interior basement waterproofing system that effectively drains water from the seam of the wall and floor to your sump pump system.  It was specifically designed to sit on top of the footing and out of the soil so it will never clog and will always be sufficient.

This successful waterproofing job is just one of many free estimates that turns into a dry, clean basement.  John B. can now enjoy his healthy basement and no longer has to worry about water in his basement for years to come.

Basement Waterproofing and Sump Pump Installation

Before Mark G. could continue work on his basement, he realized that water was leaking in and he needed a fix- and fast!  Basement waterproofing specialist Damon Ludwig came out to address the situation and recommended the SuperSump sump pump system, UltraSump battery backup, and WaterGuard interior drainage system be installed.

In a short two days, Wilver Cardoza and his team of expert installers worked to complete the job quickly and efficiently.  They installed the SuperSump sump pump, which is the perfect solution to keep water out of the basement as it works quickly and quietly whenever there’s water coming in.  It is equipped with a patented airtight lid to keep moisture and odors from entering your basement space while keeping bugs and pests from falling in as well.

Crawl Space Sealed in Highland Lakes, NJ

A homeowner in Highland Lakes, New Jersey regarded a musty odor coming from their crawl space, as well as being concerned about moisture and humidity. This can happen if the crawl space is dirt and if it is exposed to the earth's elements. The moisture from the soil rises up into the crawl space air. This can have many negative effects such as smelly carpets, increased energy bills, pests, and even mold growth.

The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Dylan McDonald, was able to provide a professional inspection and help them find a solution to fix this issue. Upon his inspection, Dylan noticed how the crawl space was damp and knew it could lead to more issues. Dylan suggested they encapsulate the crawl space to seal it from the earth's elements.

Our foreman, Luis Aguirre, arrived on the job site and began the process of installing the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. This process is done by removing any debris and dirt from the crawl space, leveling uneven surfaces, carefully fitting the CleanSpace liner to the crawl space, and holding it in place with drilled-in fasteners and spikes. The CleanSpace liner is thick and durable like a pool liner and effectively keeps moisture and humidity out of the crawl space.

When the job was complete, the homeowner was pleased with the outcome and the professionalism they observed on the job. They were able to have a usable space for storage while having a dry and protected crawl space.

Concrete Sidewalk Repair in Byram Township, NJ

This homeowner in Byram Township, New Jersey noticed their sidewalk was sinking almost 2 inches and cracking. This occurs when concrete is poured over poorly compacted soil. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids in the soil underneath the concrete. If this goes without a repair, this sidewalk will become a tripping hazard, and someone could severely injure themselves.

The homeowner knew this was a problem and they wanted it solved. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our customer service representative booked them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Jack Huber. Jack provided a thorough inspection of the sidewalk and suggested they use polyurethane foam to lift and level the concrete.

A few days later, our foreman Ramon Romero arrived at the job site and began installing the PolyLevel Injection System. This is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the concrete and injecting the polylevel into the soil underneath the concrete. This process is repeated until the slab is brought to a level position. PolyLevel is a lightweight and environmentally friendly solution that will not add weight to the existing soil. This is the best solution to repair sinking concrete.

Within 20 minutes the concrete was brought to a level position and the homeowner was happy with the results. They were able to safely walk on their sidewalk without worrying about tripping.

A homeowner in Hardyston, NJ noticed their sidewalk was sinking about three inches. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to find a solution. We scheduled the appointment for our Concrete Specialist, Jeff P.

Jeff arrived at the home, on time, and provided a thorough inspection of the sidewalk. Jeff presented the homeowner with a quote, and another appointment for the installation was set. Within a week, our crew arrived at the home and repaired the sidewalk using the Polylevel Injection Method

First, our crew drilled small, penny-sized holes into the sinking slabs. Next, they used specially designed equipment to inject the polyurethane foam into the empty void between the slab and Earth. Once the slab has been filled, the polyurethane foam expands and lifts the concrete to its desired height. This process is repeated until the entire sidewalk is repaired.

After the installation was complete, our crew did a final cleanup before completing the job. The sidewalk looked as good as new, and the homeowner was happy with the results!
