Signs of water intrusion in a Highland Lakes, NJ crawl space prompted a homeowner to take action before the problem could escalate. Increasingly damp and uncomfortable conditions had begun to affect the space, raising serious concerns about potential mold growth and long-term structural damage. Our team began with a thorough inspection of the crawl space, identifying the sources of water seepage and assessing the overall condition of the foundation and surrounding areas. Based on these findings, we developed a customized waterproofing plan designed to target each risk factor. Our foreman, Luis Aguirre, arrived on the job site and began the process of installing the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. This process is done by removing any debris and dirt from the crawl space, leveling uneven surfaces, carefully fitting the CleanSpace liner to the crawl space, and holding it in place with drilled-in fasteners and spikes. The CleanSpace liner is thick and durable like a pool liner and effectively keeps moisture and humidity out of the crawl space.
When the job was complete, the homeowner was pleased with the outcome and the professionalism they observed on the job. They were able to have a usable space for storage while having a dry and protected crawl space.
