A homeowner in South River, New Jersey noticed their floors were bouncy and sagging. This can be a symptom of foundation settlement and should be inspected immediately. This can happen because the existing columns are spaced too far apart and can become overloaded and begin to sag. Another reason could be that the floor joists have weakened due to humidity and excess moisture.

Our foreman, Mario Barron, installed the SmartJack System which will permanently stabilize and level the floor joists. This is done by removing soil where the SmartJacks will be placed. Then, the hole is filled with concrete to create a stable footing. The custom base is positioned to hold the SmartJack in place and the SmartJack is tightened into place. The support beam and floor joists are immediately stabilized and the floors will lift back towards a level position. This installation process is quick and is engineered to support large homes.
When the job was complete, the homeowner was pleased with the outcome. They no longer had to worry about their floors sagging and having foundation settlement issues.
