Job Stories From Red Bank, NJ
Concrete Walkway Leveled in Red Bank, NJ

This homeowner in Red Bank, New Jersey noticed their concrete patio was sinking and settling. This can happen if the concrete is poured over poorly compacted soil. Over time, the soil settles and creates voids underneath the slab, causing it to become unlevel. If this goes unrepaired, it could cause major tripping hazards and someone could injure themselves.

The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our customer service representative booked them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Joseph DelVecchio. Joe arrived at the home and provided a thorough inspection. Joe suggested they use polyurethane foam to lift and level the concrete.

Our foreman arrived at the job site and began the process of installing the PolyLevel Injection System. This is done by drilling tiny holes into the concrete and injecting the foam into the voids underneath. This can be installed within a day and requires minimal disturbance to the concrete. PolyLevel is environmentally friendly and is lightweight so it will not add any existing weight to the soil.

When the job was complete, the homeowner was happy with the outcome, as well as the professionalism they observed on the job. Since the install, they have not experienced any other issues with their concrete.

Red Bank, NJ Pool Complex had Sinking Concrete

Pool Complex Manager contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for sinking concrete he was experiencing around the pool area in Red Bank, NJ. There were many tripping hazards; and with members visiting the pool daily, it was only a matter of time before someone would get hurt. Concrete Repair Specialist, Maurice Robinson, did a full inspection and measured roughly 6 inches of settlement throughout the pool area.

Maurice recommended PolyLevel, a foam solution that would elevate the concrete slabs. PolyLevel would stabilize the slabs to prevent future settlement and causes no disturbance to the pool goers since the pool could be used 15 minutes after installation. The Quality 1st Crew arrived at 7 am and by 9 am the pool was open and members were going about their day like usual. The Manager was amazed at how quickly Quality 1st was able to raise the slabs and was relieved the installation did not affect the pool hours.

GeoLock Wall Anchors Stabilize a Failing Foundation in Red Bank, NJ

Buying a new home is an exciting time for everyone involved.  Now if the “new” home is an older home, sometimes there are concerns that need to be addressed once residing in the house.  When a new homeowner saw the old brick foundation wall of his Red Bank residence bowing somewhat inward and he recognized that some floors seemed uneven, he didn’t hesitate beginning to contemplate the repairs needed to protect his new asset.  He found Quality 1st Basement Systems and scheduled a no-obligation free estimate with a foundation specialist.

Dan McNally visited the Red Bank homeowner, completed a thorough interior and exterior inspection, addressed the homeowners concerns and questions, and then proceeded to develop a plan to best meet the homeowner’s needs.  It was deemed that a series of GeoLock Wall Anchors would best provide stabilization of the foundation, and a proposal was drawn up for the homeowner on the spot.

These galvanized steel GeoLock Wall Anchors can be installed with minimal disruption to the lawn while they brace the foundation wall with support from stronger, more stable soil extending just beyond the home.  They are designed to prevent further movement of walls that are bowing inward (as were this homeowner’s) or walls that are tilting at the top or buckling without taking up space in the basement.

This homeowner found the help he needed with Quality 1st Basement Systems at an affordable price for a permanent solution!  Quality 1st Basement Systems was happy to have restored the home to a safer and more stable condition.

This is a 2 story slab house no basement built in the late 80's which i purchased last year. Cracks appeared in one corner of the foundation over the past winter. There is a hill behind the house which was causing drainage problems and erosion for years where the cracks are before I owned it. We put a drainage system in recently which has corrected that problem. I want to know what can be done to fix the cracks and prevent them from getting worse.
Project Location: Red Bank, NJ
Hi there, I just purchased a home in Red Bank (built in 1933) and discovered that the basement has efflorescence on all four painted walls. Some of the blisters appear to be solid crystallization, but other blisters are open and wet and lifting away from the walls. There also appears to be mold on top of the painted walls and on top of the vinyl floor tiles in two bottom corners of the basement. Upon peeling away some of the wet efflorescence blisters on the walls closest to the moldy corners of the basement, it became apparent that there is some substantial very odiferous mold behind the paint on the concrete walls, which are beginning to show some degradation. Because the walls are painted, I do not know how extensive the mold is behind the paint. Bleach was not enough to remove it. It appears that I may need mold remediation and waterproofing. Thanks, Tamara

I am under contract to purchase a property and during the home inspector yesterday he pointed out a number of cracks in the foundation, some that were incorrectly fixed, that all need to be repaired. I'd like to get an estimate ASAP to 1. Bring back to the sellers for a credit and 2. line up to be completed before or shortly after closing to remedy the issue.
