Monroe homeowners had a nasty crawlspace they wanted cleaned up. Quality 1st Basement Systems removed debris and covered the crawl space in CleanSpace lining, which is made of plastic to protect against water and mold. The crew then installed a SaniDry Air System CX, a compact model specifically designed for crawl spaces that will both dehumidify and filter the air to keep it dry.

Job Stories From Monroe Township, NJ
Pool Patio Lifted in Monroe Township, NJ

This homeowner in Monroe Township, New Jersey had to put a stop to their pool parties due to uneven and sinking concrete around their pool patio. This happens when concrete is poured over poorly backfilled soil. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids underneath, causing it to become unlevel. If this goes without repair, someone could injure themselves!

The homeowner made a call to Quality 1st Basement Systems after searching online for solutions. Our customer service representative booked them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Joseph DelVecchio. Joseph provided a thorough inspection and suggested they use polyurethane foam to lift and level the concrete.

A few days later, our foreman Ramon arrived at the home and began the process of using our PolyLevel Injections. This is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the concrete and injecting the foam into the voids underneath. This process is repeated until the slab is brought to its original position. PolyLevel is a lightweight and environmentally friendly solution that will not add any weight to the existing soil.

When the job was complete, the homeowner was satisfied with the outcome. They were able to safely walk on their pool patio without the hazard of tripping!

Concrete Walkway Lifting in Monroe, NJ

This homeowner in Monroe, New Jersey noticed their concrete walkway was sinking and becoming unlevel. This can happen because concrete is often poured over poorly compacted soil. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids underneath the concrete. This could be dangerous because someone could trip and injure themselves.

The homeowner made a call to Quality 1st Basement Systems where our customer service representative scheduled them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Dylan McDonald. Dylan provided an inspection of the home and he suggested they use polyurethane foam to raise and level the sinking concrete.

Our foreman, Sean Johnson, arrived at the job site and began the process of using the PolyLevel Injection System. This process is accomplished by drilling penny-sized holes in the concrete and then injecting the foam to fill the voids underneath. PolyLevel has expanding properties that allow for an accurate lift of the slab. This foam is a lightweight, environmentally friendly solution that will not wash out and will not add weight to the existing soil.

When the job was complete, the homeowner was pleased with the outcome, as well as the professionalism they observed on the job. They were able to safely walk into their home without the hazard of tripping.

Window Well Replacement in Monroe, NJ

A homeowner in Monroe, New Jersey was looking to replace their old window well with something enclosed. An open window well is not healthy because water and debris could get inside.

The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our customer service representative was able to book them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Jack Huber. Jack provided an inspection of the home and he saw how the window was in need of an enclosure. These open windows typically allow rainwater and/or gutter overflow to enter the window well area and seep toward the window and foundation wall. Jack suggested they install an enclosed window well.

Our foreman, Jonathan Neira, arrived at the job site and began the installation of the SunHouse Basement Window Enclosure. It is a sturdy, light-colored window well with a bottom to prevent vegetation from growing and it is capped with a clear, well-fit cover to keep the rain out. The SunHouse will also reflect a lot of light into the basement, giving it a bright appearance. This window enclosure will never rot or corrode.

When the job was complete, the homeowner was happy with the outcome. They had peace of mind knowing that their enclosure was protective against water and dirt.

Crawl Space Insulated in Jamesburg, NJ

A homeowner in Jamesburg, New Jersey was experiencing moisture and humidity in their crawl space. This can happen because the crawl space does not have insulation, or is not insulated properly. A damp basement can have many negative effects such as dust mites, pests, increased energy bills, smelly carpets, and even mold growth.

The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Javier Romero, was able to provide an inspection of the home. Upon his inspection, Javier noticed how the crawl space was beginning to attract moisture. He suggested they properly encapsulate the crawl space and keep it sealed from the earth.

Our foreman arrived on the site and began the installation process of the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. This is done by firstly removing any dirt and debris from the crawl space, leveling uneven surfaces, and then carefully fitting the CleanSpace liner to the crawl space. The liner is kept in place with drilled-in fasteners and spikes. CleanSpace immediately gives the crawl space a clean and bright appearance, while keeping moisture and humidity out of the crawl space air. The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier seals the crawl space from the earth's elements and will block out moisture in the air.

When the job was complete, the homeowner was pleased with the outcome. They now have a clean and usable space for storage and do not have to worry about moisture in their crawl space.

Driveway Repair in Monroe, NJ

A homeowner in Monroe, NJ contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems after discovering their driveway was in need of repair. The homeowner noticed the concrete slabs were cracks and uneven, causing plants and roots to grow and provide an old and unclean look for the home. We immediately scheduled an appointment for our Concrete Specialist, Jeff Pitek

Jeff arrived at the home, on time, and fully inspected the driveway. He presented his findings to the homeowner and recommended our crew would be able to repair the driveway using the Polylevel Injection.

Polylevel is better than mudjacking because it is easier to install, and doesn't create a huge mess of the area. It is also waterproof, environmentally friendly, and has a quick recovery time of fifteen minutes.

The installation process began with our crew drilling small, penny-like holes into the concrete slabs. Using specially designed equipment, our crew injects small structural graded polymers into the void. Once the void has been filled, the polymers expand and raise the concrete slab back to its original height. This process is repeated until the driveway has been fully repaired. Finally, our crew used our waterproof NexusPro adhesive to seal any cracks and gaps in the driveway.

In conclusion, the project was a success. Our crew did not run into any issues when making the repairs, and the homeowner was very happy to see their driveway fully set. Since then, they did not experience any other issues and have been fully satisfied with Quality 1st Basement Systems.

Concrete Driveway Slabs Lifted in Monroe Township, NJ

A customer in Monroe Township was only in her house a few years, but over that time she noticed that the slabs in her driveway were sinking more and more.  She searched the internet for help.  When she came across Quality 1st Basement Systems, she found that she could get a free inspection and estimate for the repairs.  At the scheduled appointment when she met specialist Maurice Robinson, she learned a lot more.

Maurice explained how the PolyLEVEL process works and how it is a cost-effective solution to the problems with her concrete driveway slabs.  The PolyLEVEL process begins with a few small holes drilled in the concrete slabs.  A lightweight waterproof material is then injected beneath the slabs to lift them and prevent future wash out.  After only about 15 minutes of cure time, the customer would be able to drive on her driveway!  (If she had someone else fix her driveway by mudjacking, she would have to wait a few days.)  The PolyLEVEL process is also quicker and less costly than replacing the sinking slabs.

The customer decided that Quality 1st Basement Systems had the best solution, and after the repairs, she was able to feel relief that the sinking slabs were stabilized.
