Facing persistent water issues in their basement, a homeowner in Middletown, NJ reached out to us at Quality 1st Basement Systems. Each time heavy rains swept through, water seeped up from the floor and pooled at the base of their walls. To address this, we recommended and installed two of our best solutions: the WaterGuard and TripleSafe Sump Pump systems. Our skilled production team jumped into action shortly after. Starting with the WaterGuard installation, the under-floor drainage system created a path for water to follow, capturing it at the wall-floor junction before it became a problem. Next, the TripleSafe Sump Pump system was placed discreetly yet strategically, it promised continuous water evacuation, equipped with three robust pumps to deal with high volume, potential failures, and even power outages.
In Middletown, NJ, a homeowner contacted us to improve the waterproofing of their basement by upgrading their existing sump system. While the current sump pump was functioning, the homeowner wanted added protection against water intrusion, especially during heavy rains. Our team installed WaterGuard around the perimeter to capture groundwater at the wall-floor joint and channel it to the existing sump pump. This upgrade ensures that any water entering the basement is efficiently collected and pumped out, providing a reliable solution for long-term moisture control. With WaterGuard in place, the basement is now better protected from water intrusion, helping maintain a dry, safe, and healthy space.
In Middletown, NJ, a homeowner was facing a frustrating problem with their crawl space. Persistent moisture buildup was leading to unwanted conditions like dampness and the ensuing risk of mold and mildew. Our specialist recommended the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system, explaining how this solution would not only tackle the existing moisture but also prevent future occurrences. Our experienced production team carefully lined the crawl space with our high-quality CleanSpace liner: a robust 20-mil material designed to encapsulate and protect. This installation turned the problematic crawl space into a clean, dry, and protective environment, free from the dangers of excess moisture. It outperformed traditional materials, offering long-lasting confidence in maintaining the crawl space condition.
Without proper vapor barriers and drainage in place, this Middletown, NJ basement had become increasingly vulnerable to moisture intrusion, leaving walls and floors damp and creating the potential for mold growth and structural deterioration. Concerned about long-term damage and declining indoor air quality, the homeowner turned to Quality 1st Basement Systems to design a permanent solution that would protect the home and restore the basement to a healthy, dry environment.
During a thorough inspection, our System Design Specialist carefully assessed the basement to pinpoint the exact sources of water entry. This detailed evaluation provided the foundation for a customized waterproofing plan tailored to the unique conditions of the space. By understanding how water was penetrating the walls and floors, we were able to target the problem at its source, rather than relying on temporary or surface-level fixes.
To fully protect the basement, we installed our patented BrightWall Basement Wall Panels, which create a durable, moisture-resistant barrier along the walls, and ThermalDry Basement Floor Matting, which insulates and shields the floor from dampness while improving overall comfort. Together, these high-performance systems effectively stopped further moisture intrusion, safeguarded structural components, and transformed the basement into a dry, protected, and long-lasting environment. The homeowner now enjoys peace of mind knowing their basement is fully protected against future water damage.
In North Middletown, NJ, a homeowner reached out after noticing ongoing moisture concerns in their crawl space and wanting to be proactive about protecting the home. The crawl space had a concrete floor, but moisture was still present, creating concerns about humidity, air quality, and the long-term condition of the space above. The homeowner was specifically interested in installing a moisture vapor barrier to better control dampness and prevent future issues. After evaluating the crawl space, our team recommended installing CleanSpace to fully seal the area and create a clean, dry, and controlled environment. The CleanSpace vapor barrier was professionally installed across the crawl space floor and sealed to help block ground moisture from entering the space. This solution helps reduce humidity, protects the structure from moisture-related damage, and improves overall conditions in the home by preventing damp air from rising into the living areas. With the CleanSpace system in place, the crawl space is now properly protected, cleaner, and far more manageable for the homeowner moving forward.
In Middletown, NJ, a homeowner reached out after noticing ongoing dampness and mold growth on the walls of their unfinished basement. Moisture issues like this can lead to long-term damage and poor air quality if left unaddressed, so they wanted a permanent waterproofing solution. We installed a WaterGuard drainage system along the perimeter to capture water at the wall-floor joint, along with a TripleSafe sump system to safely pump water out and keep the basement dry. With the new system in place, the basement is now protected from moisture, helping prevent future mold growth and creating a healthier environment moving forward.
In North Middletown, NJ, a homeowner had begun noticing uneven floors above their crawl space, a common sign that the support system beneath the home was weakening due to moisture, settling soil, or inadequate existing support posts. Uneven flooring not only affects comfort and the feel of the home, but it can also signal serious underlying structural issues that may worsen over time if left unaddressed. Our team performed a thorough inspection and designed a complete repair solution, installing SmartJacks to permanently stabilize and lift the sagging floor, encapsulating the crawl space with CleanSpace to seal out moisture and humidity, and adding SilverGlo insulation along the walls to improve energy efficiency and control temperature in the space. With a dry, insulated, and structurally supported crawl space, the homeowner can now enjoy a more level first floor, improved air quality, and long-term protection for the home’s foundation.

One of our System Design Specialists recommended CleanSpace to encapsulate the walls and floors to provide a barrier between the damp walls and floors and the dry air. Heavy storms had become a regular occurrence in Middletown, NJ, and for one homeowner, the repeated downpours were causing serious issues in their crawl space. Water was consistently seeping in during heavy rainfall, leaving the area damp, musty, and vulnerable to mold and structural damage. Recognizing that the situation would only worsen without professional help, the homeowner reached out to Quality 1st for a permanent solution that could withstand future weather events.
Our team began with a comprehensive inspection of the crawl space to assess the water entry points and overall drainage conditions. Based on our findings, we developed a customized waterproofing plan tailored to the home’s specific needs. We started by installing our StarPipe Drainage System, designed to efficiently capture and redirect groundwater away from the crawl space perimeter. This system helps manage excessive moisture by preventing it from pooling beneath the home, which is critical in maintaining a dry foundation.
To complement the drainage system, we also installed our SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump, a powerful unit specifically engineered for crawl spaces. Equipped with a durable, airtight lid and an optional battery backup, the SmartSump ensures consistent water removal even during power outages. With this advanced waterproofing system in place, the homeowner now enjoys peace of mind knowing their crawl space is protected from future water intrusion. What was once a problem area has now been transformed into a dry, healthier environment that supports the overall stability and comfort of the home.
An old sump pump system had left a Middletown, NJ homeowner dealing with a persistently damp crawl space. Over time, the lack of proper water management turned the area into a humid, musty environment, raising concerns about mold growth, structural damage, and reduced indoor air quality. Recognizing the seriousness of the issue and wanting a permanent fix, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st for a professional evaluation and long-lasting solution.
Our team began with a detailed inspection of the crawl space to identify the source of the moisture intrusion. It quickly became clear that the old sump pump could no longer keep up with water buildup, especially during heavy rains or seasonal changes. The crawl space also lacked a proper drainage system to guide water efficiently to the pump. With these findings in hand, our specialists created a tailored waterproofing strategy to resolve both the immediate problem and prevent future issues.
The first step was installing our patented WaterGuard Drainage System along the interior perimeter of the crawl space. This system is specifically engineered to sit above the foundation footing, where it can effectively capture water seeping in from the walls and floor without the risk of clogging from soil or debris. From there, we installed our SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump, a compact but powerful unit designed to handle the unique demands of crawl spaces. Its airtight lid and built-in alarm help protect against moisture, odors, and system failure.
To complete the system and safeguard it from the elements, we added our IceGuard Discharge Line to the exterior. This specialized feature allows water to continue flowing out of the sump pump even if the discharge line freezes during colder months, eliminating the risk of backups and flooding. With all components working together, the homeowner now enjoys a dry, protected crawl space and renewed peace of mind, knowing their home is safe from water damage year-round!
Ongoing water intrusion in a crawl space was causing serious concerns for a homeowner in North Middletown, NJ. Small cracks in the crawl space walls allowed moisture to seep inside, creating a damp and unhealthy environment that threatened the home’s structural integrity and indoor air quality. The persistent moisture not only led to musty odors and potential mold growth but also made the space uncomfortable and unusable. Seeking a lasting solution, the homeowner reached out to Quality 1st for professional assistance.
Upon arrival, our expert crew conducted a thorough assessment of the crawl space, identifying the key sources of water intrusion and moisture buildup. To combat the problem, we installed our patented Drainage Matting, which is designed to channel water away from the walls and towards a designated drainage area. This proactive approach helps prevent water from accumulating and reduces the risk of future leaks. Additionally, we installed SilverGlo Insulation Panels, which not only enhance energy efficiency by regulating temperature but also help create a more comfortable and usable crawl space.
To actively manage any water that did enter the space, our team installed the SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump, a powerful yet compact system designed specifically for crawl spaces. A homeowner in Middletown, New Jersey noticed their concrete driveway was sinking and settling. This occurs because concrete is poured over backfilled soil. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids underneath, causing the slab to shift. This can be dangerous because someone could trip and hurt themselves.
Looking for a solution, the homeowner made a quick call to Quality 1st Basement Systems where our customer service representative booked them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Jeff Pitek. Jeff provided an inspection of the site and he suggested a polyurethane foam to lift and level the concrete.

This is done by drilling tiny holes in the slab and injecting the foam into the voids underneath. This can be installed within a day and requires minimal disturbance to the concrete. PolyLevel is environmentally friendly and is lightweight, so it will not add any weight to the existing soil.
When the job was complete, the homeowner was happy with the result. Since the installation, they have not had any issues with their concrete driveway.

Quality 1st Basements received a call from a homeowner living in Middletown, NJ who was experiencing sinking concrete in their driveway and backyard patio area. Our customer service representative Keashan was able to set an appointment up with Concrete Repair Specialist, Jeff and within a few short days, Jeff was out to meet them.
Jeff noticed the concrete driveway had settled around 3 inches at the top of the driveway near the garage and roughly 1 inch towards the end of the driveway near the sidewalk. The homeowner was nervous that these tripping hazards could be dangerous to his family and wanted them removed right away. When Jeff inspected the backyard patio he noticed the entire area was settled and uneven, preventing the family from being able to put furniture on it. The slabs had sunk 2 inches in some areas and up to 5 inches in others.
Project Manager Arturo and his crew injected PolyLevel Foam underneath each sinking slab, raising each one back to level. Within 15 minutes of completion, the homeowner was able to put their car back into the driveway and the family was able to put out their patio furniture. The homeowner was amazed at the entire process and pleased with how professional Arturo and his crew were.
David and his family had noticed that in a short period of time, the floors on their first floor of their home had become very cold. His wife had also noticed that their utility bill has increased the last two months compared to others. Doing some research he discovered that cold floors can be due to an uninsulated crawl space. Then he realized that all his pipes, water heater, and furnace were all located in his crawl space. He decided to contact his local expert in Crawl Space repair and insulation, Quality 1st Basements.
System Design Specialist, Laszlo Lenkey, explained to David that at one point he had water in his crawl space and the insulation started to absorb the moisture and water causing it to get heavy and fall. Now that his crawl space was no longer properly insulated, the cold draft from outside was now creating a cold environment inside causing the floors on the first floor to get colder and his furnace was now working harder to warm the home.
Laszlo suggested fully insulating the crawl space with a heat barrier called SilverGlo. SilverGlo is installed on the floor and walls, reflecting heat back inside the crawl space. SilverGlo is installed to the rim joists as well where drafts linger in from. Another great insulation product is TerraBlock which is designed specifically for the crawl space and works on either a dirt or concrete floor crawl space. TerraBlock keeps water and moisture away from the dirt and concrete preventing the crawl space from becoming colder.
When Paul in Middletown, NJ found water coming down the walls and up from the floor of his basement, he immediately called Quality 1st Basement Systems. He'd seen the truck in his neighborhood and knew a lot of his neighbors were happy with the work done by Quality 1st.
Ken Peare, a Basement Waterproofing Expert, evaluated the basement and could see right away where the problem was and what could be done to fix it.
Foreman and Installation Specialist, Victor Leon, installed the WaterGuard Drainage System around the perimeter of the basement to direct water into the TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe Sump Pump is 3 sump pumps in one and guarantees a dry basement. Because winters in New Jersey can cause pipes to freeze, Ken recommended the IceGuard Discharge Line. IceGuard is especially designed to keep the system working even on the coldest days. LawnScape was also installed to direct the water away from the home.
Now this Middletown basement stays dry and Paul is very happy he called Quality 1st!
