A homeowner in West Milford, New Jersey was looking to install a sump pump system because they were noticing water getting into their basement. This can happen because the poorly compacted soil around the foundation becomes saturated during heavy rainfall, which creates hydrostatic pressure. This hydrostatic pressure pushes water through the walls and floors of the basement.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and spoke to our customer service representative, where they made an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Steve Roldan. Steve provided an inspection of the home and he suggested they install a new sump pump system.
Our foreman, Wilver Cardoza, installed the SuperSump Pump System which is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. This sump pump has an airtight enclosed lid that will prevent water vapor from entering the basement air. Then, Wilver installed the WaterGuard Drain System which sits on top of the foundation footing so it is not in the mud zone and does not clog. This system collects water that seeps through basement walls and drains it to the sump pump.
When the job was complete, the homeowner was pleased with the outcome. They had peace of mind knowing that these systems would protect their basement against water intrusion.
