A homeowner in Seaside Heights, New Jersey was experiencing water and moisture in their crawl space. This happens because the poorly compacted soil around the foundation becomes saturated during heavy rainfall. This saturated soil creates hydrostatic pressure, which pushes water to seep through the walls and floors.
