This homeowner in New Milford, New Jersey noticed their pool patio was sinking and becoming unlevel. This occurs when concrete is poured over backfilled soil. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids underneath the soil. If this goes without repair, someone could trip and injure themselves.
The homeowner made a call to Quality 1st Basement Systems and our customer service representative booked them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Joseph DelVecchio. Joseph provided an inspection and suggested they use polyurethane foam to lift and level the concrete.
A few days later, our foreman, Ramon Romero, arrived at the job site and began the process of installing the PolyLevel Injection System. This is done by drilling tiny holes into the concrete and injecting the foam into the voids underneath. This will bring the concrete to a lifted position and within 20 minutes, the concrete will be ready to be walked on. PolyLevel is an environmentally friendly, and lightweight solution that will not add any weight to the existing soil.
When the job was complete, the homeowner was happy with the outcome. They were able to safely walk on their concrete without the concern of injuring themselves.
Lisa S., a homeowner from New Milford, NJ, wanted an experienced waterproofing company to provide her with an estimate to install a sump pump system to keep her basement protected from flooding. Waterproofing specialist Ken Peare visited the home to complete a thorough interior and exterior inspection and provide a free estimate of the best solution to meet her needs.
After addressing the homeowner’s concerns, Ken proposed the installation of a Triple Safe Sump Pump System. It includes an efficient primary pump, a back-up pump (in case the first one fails or if there is a need for extra pumping power), and a third battery-operated pump (designed to kick in if the power goes out). A WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system would be installed to channel any incoming water seepage toward the TripleSafe to be pumped out of the basement. For added protection, Ken proposed that IceGuards be installed on the discharge drains, too, in the event that the lines freeze during the colder months. Lastly, the pumped out water would be discharged away from the home and left to be dispersed on the lawn by means of a LawnScape outlet, a camouflaged extension at the end of the buried discharge pipe.
Lisa found that the solution was just what she needed to keep her basement dry.
This New Milford homeowner lives by a river and with the water tables rising, his crawl space had flooded several times. He knew that since the river wasn't going anywhere that this problem would only continue if he didn't find a solution. After doing some research he knew that a French drain and sump pump would be the necessary products to help him come to a permanent solution and so he went on Angie's List and found Quality 1st Basement Systems.
Quality 1st sent a design specialist to New Milford and gave the home owner a free estimate on his crawl space. He decided that CleanSpace, a liner that protects the crawl space against water, mold, rotting, animals and unwanted air out, would be the best thing to keep the homeowners crawl space dry. The design specialist also proposed TerraBlock which is an energy saving, moisture protection, insulation that will control the air temperature in that space all year round. Since he noticed that the crawl space was sagging, he also recommended SmartJacks to stabilize it.
The New Milford Homeowner was very happy with Senior Foreman, Jesus Alverez- Sanchez and his crew with how nice and professional they were and how well they cleaned up when they were finished!
