Basement Water Damage
It's difficult to believe that this space could be a livable room but with the right products and the right system, even this basement can be finished and used as a family room, a kid's room or a man cave - without the look and feel of a cave. The presence of water is very evident in this picture. There is water on the ground and there are mineral deposits on the walls (efflorescence) as well as moss and mold!
Old Sump Pump
This is the old sump pump that no longer does the job. The grate that was put over the sump pump pit does not do anything in terms of safety or keeping the pit clean. The stagnant water evaporates and also caused a foul smell in the basement. With all of the debris and muck that was in this whole of mud, no sump pump would stand a chance and it needed to be done right. See how we helped out this Cranford homeowner.
Basement Sump Pump
Our TripleSafe Sump Pump system is the perfect solution for this basement. Compared to the sump pump setup that this homeowner had previously, this sump pump will perform at a much higher level due to many factors. In this picture you can see some of those main factors such as the sump pump liner and the french drain system that we call WaterGuard.
TripleSafe Sump Pump Installed
This is the TripleSafe Sump Pump system installed and ready to get to work. It insures water will be quickly and efficiently removed from the basement. The battery on the floor works with the Battery Back-up Sump Pump that is installed in this sump pump liner. If the power were to ever go out, the batter powered sump pump will turn on and can remove up to 10,000 gallons of water!
French Drain WaterGuard Installation
Here is the installation of our WaterGuard drain around the perimeter of the basement. This system will collect the water that would have usually collected on the basement floor of this home and it will guide it to the sump pump to be removed and keep the basement dry all the time. Check out the next photo to see how our crew covers up the french drain.
Basement Waterproofing in Cranford, NJ
Once the concrete dries, it is virtually invisible! Now that the basement will be kept dry all the time, this system will allow the homeowner to finish their basement.
Trench Drain Installed
Water can enter your basement in many different ways and at Quality 1st Basement Systems we have a solution for all of your basement waterproofing problems. This is the Trench Drain and it is installed to prevent water from entering the basement from the stairwell. It's flush with your basement floor and sturdy, all the while collecting water that pours into your basement from the stairs.
Basement Discharge Line
This is our IceGuard discharge line and is installed for proper drainage even on the coldest days. As the winter days can get very cold in New Jersey, the water in the discharge line will freeze and it would usually render the entire system useless. The IceGuard's patented and unique design will still allow water to be pumped out of your basement even if the discharge line is frozen.
LawnScape Installed
One of our goals at Quality 1st Basement Systems is to provide the best products and the best service that a basement waterproofing company can provide. This means that we take pride in everything we do and that includes the discharge line that is run out into the yard away from the basement! This is an attractive and functional alternative for the discharge line and it is barely visible once the grass grows back and due to the design it allows for lawnmowers to be run right over it.
