Readington's Basement & Foundation Contractor

Quality 1st has been serving Readington residents for over 25 years. We provide you permanent solutions for basements, crawl spaces and foundations. We are known for our quality work and patented basement products. For basement waterproofing, crawl space encapsulation, foundation repair, and concrete lifting we are Readington's trusted contractor.

Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Repair

If you are dealing with flooding, moisture or mold in your basement or crawl space we can solve the problem. We waterproof and protect basements by installing a perimeter drainage system along the interior of the basement. Any water entering is collected and channeled to a high-volume sump pump where it is pumped out and away from your basement.

We also install an energy-efficient dehumidifier designed specifically for the basement. By controlling the relative humidity moisture is controlled and mold is prevented. Our basement work in Readington comes with a transferable lifetime dry-basement warranty.

We Provide:
  • Basement Waterproofing
  • Crawl Space Encapsulation
  • Exclusive, Patented Products
  • Humidity Control
You Receive:
  • Permanently Dry Basement
  • Clean Protected Crawlspace
  • Protection against Mold
  • Improved Home Value

Similar to the basement we also waterproof the crawl space by sealing and encapsulating it with heavy-duty vinyl vapor barrier. If needed a crawl space sump can be installed along with a dehumidifier. Like the basement this controls moisture in the space preventing mold and rot.

If the floor above the crawl space is cold we can add proper insulation to make it more comfortable. Instead of a debris filled nest for mold and racoons your crawl space will be a clean dry area you can use for extra storage space!

Foundation Repair & Concrete Leveling

If your home is facing structural issues stemming from the foundation we can restore the foundation and prevent future issues. Using warranted foundation repair products we repair the foundation using non-invasive techniques, no torn up fixed foundations. Give us a call to have one of our foundation repair specialists visit your Readington home for a free inspection. 1-844-268-0860

Repairs for:
  • Wall Cracks
  • Bowing Walls
  • Uneven Floors
  • Settling Foundations
  • Uneven Concrete Slabs
We Use:
  • Wall Anchors
  • I-Beam Wall Braces
  • Foundation & Slab Piers
  • Crawl Space Jack Posts
  • PolyLEVEL

For homeowners dealing with sunken concrete slabs we have simple solution, PolyLEVEL. PolyLEVEL is a polyurethane foam that we inject below the sunken concrete slab. The foam quickly expands to fill the empty space and raise the slab back to its original position.

PolyLEVEL is a definite improvement over the mudslurry that most contractors use. Not only is it lighter, but it doesn't wash away, is injected through smaller holes and cures faster.

Job Stories From Readington, NJ
Settled Slab Raised by Quality 1st in Readington, NJ

Mary sent her husband out one afternoon to rake leaves in the front of their Readington, NJ home. As soon as he began raking the leaves off the sidewalk, he noticed two large slabs in front of their driveway had settled causing a huge trip hazard.

When Mary's husband called her out to look at the settlement she noticed that her sidewalk looked exactly like the picture on a concrete lifting and leveling truck she saw in her neighborhood not to long ago. Mary decided to give her neighbor a call to find out who came out to call for an estimate. The neighbor referred her to Quality 1st Basements, so Mary called to schedule her appointment.

Concrete Repair Specialist, Jeff P. did a full inspection of their sidewalks and recommended PolyLevel would be the perfect solution. Jeff explained that PolyLevel is a foam that is injected underneath the slab to raise it back to its original state. PolyLevel expands until the slab is elevated, once elevated, it hardens to permanently stabilize the slab to prevent further settlement.

Mary and her husband were amazed at how quickly the team was able to lift both slabs back to level and withing 15 minutes of completion Mary's husband could drive his car over the slab to leave his driveway.

Flooded Basement in Readington, NJ

After just 2 straight days of rain, Robert's basement in his Readington, NJ home flooded with almost an inch of water. In all the years hes lived there, he never once had signs of water issues and so he wanted someone out right away for a solution.

He contacted the waterproofing experts of Hunterdon County. Our Customer Service Representative, Keashan, was able to send System Design Specialist, Mike D. out to inspect the basement and design a specific solution for this basements water concerns.

At the time of the inspection, Mike did a full walk through of the entire basement area and realized right away that the water was coming in from the left corner of the basement. The water was seeping in from the wall as well as the floor. Mike explained to Robert that our team would install a full perimeter waterproofing system consisting of a WaterGuard Drainage system that would collect  the water seeping in from the wall or floor and direct it over the the TripleSafe Sump pump that is installed in the deepest part of the basement. Both products together would not only prevent future leaks and flooding from ever occurring but also keep the basement healthy since it would prevent moisture and mold from forming.

On the day of the installation Wilver took his team and did a walk through to explain what exactly was being installed and to make sure the entire area was cleaned out for installation. Once the area was prepped for the crew, Wilver introduced his team to Robert and finalized with him exactly what they were accomplishing today.

When the job was completed Wilver and Robert walked through the entire basement to show him exactly what they did and gave him a short lesson on the Sump pump. Right away Robert noticed how clean his basement was after the team was working all down with multiple tools and machines. He thanks the team for the amazing work done and for making his basement spotless.

Flood Protection for a Basement in Readington, NJ

Water in the basement doesn’t have to flood in to be a nuisance.  Matt P. of Whitehouse Station knew that too well.  He owned the home for five years, all the time experiencing a slow seepage through the walls, but enough was enough.  He searched for professional help and found Quality 1st Basement Systems.

Waterproofing specialist Ken Peare visited Matt’s home, completed a thorough interior and exterior inspection of the home, answered Matt’s questions, and designed a basement waterproofing system that included the best options for meeting Matt’s needs. He provided a free written estimate for the proposed work as well, leaving the homeowner everything he needed to make a well-informed decision.

A TripleSafe sump pump was proposed as it includes an efficient primary pump, a back-up pump (in case the first one fails or if there is a need for extra pumping power), and a third battery-operated pump (designed to kick in if the power goes out).  The pump is installed and connected to a full perimeter WaterGuard to channel any incoming moisture. IceGuards installed also prevent a flood in the event that the discharge lines freeze during the colder months and a LawnScape Outlet discreetly disperses water on the lawn, away from the foundation of the home. This method of removing water intruding into the basement made sense to Matt.

Further protection added included Flood Check Hoses to prevent a flood disaster from washing machine backup and a Flood Ring around the water heater, to direct water to the WaterGuard in the event that the water heater leaks or breaks down.

Additionally, Matt wanted to replace the old basement windows.  He opted for new vinyl Everlast Windows as well as new SunHouse Window Wells, to bring more natural light into the basement area while keeping water, dirt, and debris out of the wells.

Last on the list of helping to keep the basement drier, Ken proposed the installation of a SaniDry XP.  This ultra-efficient dehumidifier and air purification system removes moisture from the air and blows out a dry air into the space. This system was designed to keep the humidity levels below 50%, reducing the chance for mold to grow.  Additionally, it contains a two-stage filter system to eliminate dust particles from the air.

Matt dealt with a continually damp basement from water seeping through the walls for five years, but Quality 1st Basement Systems helped Matt attain a greater level of relief from these problems.  He could have peace of mind knowing his basement space is being kept drier and healthier for his family’s sake from thereon after.
