1-800-638-7048A homeowner in Manalapan, New Jersey was experiencing water getting into their dirt crawl space. This can happen because of the exposed earth that brings in moisture into the crawl space air. Water can also enter the footing, between the footing, and even through block walls. After it seeps in, the water lies there in puddles while slowly evaporating into the house. This can cause many issues such as dust mites, insects, smelly damp carpets, increased heating and cooling bills, and even mold.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Dane Cuccinello, was able to provide an inspection of the home and come up with a plan to fix this issue. Dane suggested they encapsulate the home to keep the crawl space dry. Our foreman, Esau Aquino, installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System in the crawl space. This system prevents mold growth and is a 20 mil thick liner that seals the home from the earth. By installing this system, the crawl space is protected against water and moisture, while given a bright and fresh appearance.
