If you have a finished basement but you never waterproofed it, this will become a common sight. As water enters your basement, it wets the wood beams and the paper of your drywall and as we know, humidity and organic materials are the basic requirements for mold to grow. That means that you will need to regularly replace the bottom of your drywall and the wooden studs.
