A homeowner in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey was experiencing musty smells and water seepage in their crawl space. This happens because of the soil around the home. Over time this soil settles and becomes saturated during heavy rainfall. This saturated soil creates hydrostatic pressure and pushes weight through the walls. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Joe Mancini, was able to provide an inspection. He suggested a vapor barrier system be installed in the crawl space. Our foreman, Luis Aguirre, installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System throughout the crawl space. This vapor barrier system is thick like a pool liner and will keep moisture out of the crawl space. This system drains water behind it while giving the crawl space a bright and healthy.
The patio of this homeowner in Ringoes, NJ was sinking 2 inches and wanted to be lifted to it's original spot. If the soil below the slab isn’t compact, the concrete can easily begin to sink as the soil beneath it solidifies and hardens. If the soil is too wet or too dry, this can also cause concrete to sink. Quality 1st Basement Systems sent out Jonathan Seminario to inspect the affected area to give a permanent solution to the problem. Jonathan explained how we can lift and level concrete without breaking and damaging the environment. Senior Foreman, Victor Leon, went out with his team to lift and level the back patio. The homeowner was happy as the slabs did not present an eye sore anymore.
Quality 1st Basement Systems installed CleanSpace for this customer to combat moisture and keep the basement dry. The Moisture Vapor Barrier forces all wall seepage and moisture to flow into your perimeter drain system.

A homeowner in Plainfield, New Jersey was experiencing water coming in through their basement walls and floors. This happens because of the loose backfilled soil around the home's foundation. Over time, this loose soil becomes saturated during heavy rainfall and creates hydrostatic pressure, which pushes water and moisture through the walls. This can have many negative effects on the home's health such as dust mites, musty smells, mold growth, and increased heating and cooling bills.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our foreman installed the WaterGuard Drain System which sits on top of the footing instead of alongside it. This keeps the wet dirt from getting into the drain because the drain does not sit in the mud. Next, the foreman installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System which is thick like a pool liner and is placed along the basement wall. This system is a vapor barrier, drains water behind it and dramatically brightens the basement.
A homeowner in Manasquan, New Jersey noticed their walls were bowing inwards and cracking. This is caused by the expansion of the soil and hydrostatic pressure. When soil gets saturated during periods of rainfall, the soil expands. When it expands in size, it puts a lot of pressure on the basement walls. The pressure becomes more than the wall can handle, and the wall begins to push inwards.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Jonathan Seminerio, provided an inspection of the home and helped them find a solution for this issue. He suggested they use a fiber material to permanently stabilize the wall. Our foreman installed the Carbon Armor System which has a fabric quality that makes it flexible to be installed tightly against the basement walls. This system will prevent the wall from bowing inwards and have minimal disruption to the foundation and landscaping.
Keyport, New Jersey homeowner noticed water was getting into their basement through the walls and floors. This can occur from the poorly compacted soil around the foundation. Over time, this soil becomes saturated during heavy rainfall and creates hydrostatic pressure, which pushes water to seep through the walls and floors. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Steve Ventriglio, provided an inspection and suggested they waterproof the basement. Our foreman, Esau Aquino, replaced their old sump pump with the TripleSafe Sump Pump System that will effectively pump water out of the basement. Then, the foreman installed the CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier which will ensure that moisture and dampness stay out of the basement. With these systems in place, the basement is now protected from water damage and moisture.
