The sidewalk leading up to the stairs at this home in Newfield had settled, creating a large trip hazard. After hearing about PolyLevel on Facebook, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basements to inspect their concrete. A Concrete Repair Specialist headed out to the home and created a plan to raise the concrete. On the day of the installation, our team raised the slabs by injecting Polyurethane foam beneath them. Jessica wanted to fix the pool deck of her new house in Laurel Springs, NJ. Several slabs of concrete had sunken around her inground pool, creating opportunities for people to trip and fall, which is especially dangerous around a pool. Quality 1st Basements lifted and leveled Jessica's pool deck with our PolyLevel solution. She was thrilled with the final result, a leveled pool deck to walk on with no trip hazards.
Wow! Concrete replacement is a thing of the past when it comes to sinking and settling concrete slabs. Our team raised this sinking slab back towards its original level using PolyLevel. PolyLevel is injected by drilling a small penny-size hole into the concrete. Using a special tool, the Polyurethane foam is injected underneath the slab. The foam expands to fill all voids underneath the soil and begins raising the slab. When leveled, the team will stop injected and immediately the foam will begin to harden, permanently stabilizing the concrete slab.
We recommended our Crawl Space Reinforcing System to provide a solution for the sagging crawl space beams in the area underneath this home. A Somerville, NJ homeowner was experiencing issues with their existing sump pump and called Quality 1st Basements. To replace their sump pump in the basement, TripleSafe was installed. Upon arrival Jay noticed the big eye sore in front of Bob's beautiful landscaped home, his sidewalks. Jay and Bob walked over each sinking slab, Jay measuring each one and then sat down to go over why his slabs were sinking and the goal he had for his sidewalks.
Bob stressed that replacing the sinking concrete was not an option for the time and disruption was going to cause him stress. Jay recommended our PolyLevel solution. Jay Hugee, System Design Specialist for Quality 1st Basements, found that this customer had a problem with moisture beneath the insulation sitting between the floor joists. Trapped moisture on organic material (such as the wood) leads to mold growth and decay. To remedy this problem for the customer, foreman Luis Aguirre and his crew removed the insulation and sprayed Mold-X 2-part Botanical cleaner on the floor joists and left the insulation out so the air could dry out the moisture in an area where mold growth has potential.
Cement blocks in a crawl space have the potential to allow cooler air to seep in and cause the floors above to feel cool to the touch. Jay Hugee proposed SilverGlo insulation for this customer's home to boost energy efficiency as the panels reflect heat back into the crawl space. The inclusion of a durable CleanSpace Crawl Space Vapor Barrier (with a 25-year warranty against rips and tears) would provide a layer to separate the earth from the home and be a barrier to moisture which can cause mold and musty smells. Luis Aguirre and his crew were happy to install these crawl space products to help the customer.

A Wall Township home was experiencing some sidewalk settlement encompassing the area. The settlement of the concrete slab was about 2-3 inches deep. Concrete Foreman Ash did a thorough job with PolyLevel solution to lift, level and secure the settled slab of concrete.
