Hello, My twin sister, elderly grandmother and I recently purchased a multi-family dwelling in the Bronx. We had an engineer come out and inspect it, and behold, there's a sump pump. We heard from the next door neighbors a horror story about this sump pump, in which the previous owners of this property had a very bad flood a year ago during a rain storm. The water reached waist level and this is what prompted them to sell their property. I guess we're the idiots for buying it, even though we had two engineers come out and inspect it prior to the actual purchase... Both assured us the sump pump was effective. However, I've been hearing a weird choking sound lately. Also, there is no back up battery or alarm... In addition, I need to make sure we do not experience what the previous owners experienced. Therefore, I am interested in an industrial dual sump pump system, with a backup battery and alarm. Please keep in mind we are affected by the economy and concerned with how much all will cost. Please be dedicated and honest with us. We appreciate your help and honesty in advance. Thank you.
