This homeowner in Seaside Park, New Jersey noticed their concrete sidewalk was sinking and settling. This can happen from soil erosion underneath the slab. As water runs down through the cracks and joints in the concrete, it washes the soil out as it passes through. If this goes without repair, someone could trip on the concrete and hurt themselves.

 

The homeowner did not want this issue to go without a solution, so they searched online for contractors. They came across Quality 1st Basement Systems and gave us a call. Our customer care representative booked them an appointment with our System Design Specialist, Chris Bowe. Chris provided an inspection and suggested they use polyurethane foam to lift and level the concrete.

 

A few days later, our foreman arrived and began the process of using our PolyLevel Injections. This is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the concrete and injecting the foam into the voids underneath. This allows the polyurethane foam to bring the concrete to a raised position. PolyLevel is a lightweight and environmentally friendly solution that will not add any weight to the existing soil.

 

When the job was complete, the homeowner was happy with the results! They were able to safely walk on their concrete sidewalk without the hazards of tripping!
