A homeowner in Seaside Heights, New Jersey was experiencing water and moisture in their crawl space. This happens because the poorly compacted soil around the foundation becomes saturated during heavy rainfall. This saturated soil creates hydrostatic pressure, which pushes water to seep through the walls and floors. Also, the soil in the crawl space can play a part, since the water vapor from soil can rise up into the crawl space air. Our foreman began the installation process of the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. This is done by removing any dirt and debris, leveling uneven surfaces, carefully placing the system to fit the crawl space, and securing it in place with drilled-in spikes and fasteners. CleanSpace is mold-proof and waterproof and is thick and durable like a pool liner. This system will not only provide protection against water and moisture but also delivers the homeowner with usable storage space.
