This homeowner's pool patio in Farmingdale, New Jersey was sinking and becoming unsafe. This happens because concrete is poured over badly compacted soil. Over time this soil settles and creates voids underneath the concrete, causing it to shift.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our customer service representative matched them with our System Design Specialist, Jack Huber. Jack provided an inspection and suggested they use polyurethane foam to lift and level the concrete.
Our foreman, Sean Johnson, arrived at the site and began the process of using the PolyLevel Injection System. This is achieved by drilling tiny holes into the concrete and injecting the foam into the voids underneath. PolyLevel can be installed within a day and requires minimal disruption to the concrete.
When the job was complete after 15 minutes of the installation, the concrete was brought back to level and safe to walk on. The homeowner was happy with the outcome and they did not have any more issues with their concrete.
