I think Quality 1st Basement Systems is awesome! Really, it was an unbelievable experience. From the first day, when the salesman came out. He was extremely knowledgeable about their products and explained clearly as far as my needs were and what to expect. He was also very compassionate about my concerns about mess and dust.
On the day of the installation, they were impeccable. They were on time and were very careful and neat. Even though there was a lot of concrete breaking, they put plastic up, covered items and moved things out of the basement before starting. They worked really quickly. It was scheduled to take two whole days, but it only took a day and a half. It looks great! I am very, very happy.
Everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and thorough, especially Ken. I am very pleased with the job that was done and the way they left the basement area they worked in. I can't find one thing I would have changed throughout this entire process
Last Saturday installed the system (Triple Safe) , but we have two problems; the soil is coming in the sump pump pit and the water overflow from ice guard when pump up the water.
Quality 1st Basement Systems came and did an excellent job. They were immaculate! They cleaned everything up, came at the time they said they were going to come, and they were very prompt. My whole experience with them was excellent, except for the fact that they made me wait months before coming back for the second project I wanted them to do in the basement. That was the only downside. I felt that as a standing customer they should have done the work sooner.
Work in our basement required a good portion of our rubber tiles (installed by you) to be pulled up. They could not be put back over the wet concrete. at this time, the concrete is dry, but there is considerable difficulty in arranging for this to be done. only Two dates seemed available, 12/11 12/30, in december. unfortunately, I am out of town for the first date and now must wait nearly a month with my basemewnt in continual disaray. I believe that tile replacement should be part of the plan of work with a scheduled return just as there is a scheduled date for the job. This is not an organized way to do business.
I had interviewed FOUR other companies before interviewing Quality One. Talk about HIGH PRESSURE??? The other companies pressured me so much, saying things like they had a crew on staff for the following day and could do it right away, etc., etc. When you're spending this kind of money, you want several bids. Quality One was ZERO pressure and they were LESS EXPENSIVE than anyone else. They even tried to talk me out of doing a few extra little things! From the initial call to the sales rep who came to the house (fantastic, no pressure, presentation) to the people who actually came to do the work (BTW, they use some type of machine that pushes almost 100% of the dust out of the house! amazing!), they were terrific! I've already recommended them to several of my neighbors who have used them and are very, very happy. When I came home from work after they were done, it was like they weren't even there! I would recommend them to anyone! I'm extremely pleased with their work.
We are actually in construction ourselves, and we were going to do the job ourselves too, as we're normally not impressed with other contractors, but when Ken from Quality 1st Basement Systems came to the job, he impressed me with what he knew, so I thought I would give him a shot at it. Besides, we had a lot of work to do in the house already, so we just got it ready for them to do it instead. When they came, he and his workers were excellent. They worked really fast, and did a good job, as well or better than I expected, and I don't say that about many people.
This was so unlike any experience I have ever had with contractors. Your company made me feel good throughout the process, from initial estimate to project completion. I am also impressed with the quality and design of your systems. I await the first heavy rain to confirm that the repairs have solved my basement water problems, but given my experience so far, I am confident that I will be satisfied.
